About this speaker

Hi everyone! I'm Pragna (she/her), and I'm so thrilled to share a bit about myself.

For over 25 years, I've been working in IT Service Management, but beyond my career, I'm passionate about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and included.

My journey with Diversity and Inclusion began in 2013 when I joined an LGBTQ+ network at a charity organization. It was the first time I felt comfortable being myself at work, and it was a revelation! Since then, I've grown so much more confident in sharing my story.

As the eldest in a South Asian household, coming out was a unique experience. That's why I'm so proud to be part of a global support group for South Asian LGBTQ+ women. We provide a safe, friendly, and fun space for each other – something I wished I'd had when I was younger.

In my free time, I love getting lost in a good book (crime, thrillers, autobiographies, self-development, and religion are my faves!), catching up on podcasts (or maybe even creating one of my own someday!), laughing at stand-up comedy, or enjoying live music. ️

Helping others is my true purpose in life, something my parents instilled in me from a young age. So, feel free to ask me anything – respectfully, of course! If I don't have the answer right away, I'll definitely find it for you.

I'm always excited to meet new people and learn from their experiences. Let's connect!

Have you ever been told that you’re feeling the way you are because of your age? Because you have young kids? Because you’re eating too much? Because you don’t exercise enough? Because it runs in the family? Because you’re female? Because “that’s just life”?
